Our Story
Glenn Johnson began his career in 1949 as a carpenter; progressed through the ranks as foreman and project superintendent; and ultimately was appointed President of a Chicago-area construction firm. Here Glenn served 7 years before realizing his dream and establishing the Glenn H. Johnson Construction Company in 1967.
According to Glenn, "The vital asset in our company's success and growth has been our people. Because of their broad experience and many talents, they are capable of performing many functions in our business. Because of this flexibility, we can offer full service on a wide range of projects with low overhead."
In 1995 Glenn retired and sold the business to Donald Voss. Don had been with the company since 1975 and like Glenn had progressed from tradesman to Project Manager to Vice President. As President and Owner, Don has continued to pursue the principles on which the Company was founded and enjoys a strong association with Glenn. Like Glenn, Don attributes the continued success of the Company to the character and quality of its employees.
